Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad is all set to conduct the Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET 2010) on the behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. Scheduled for May 30, 2010, these exams are a gateway for all students looking to get admission in the government and private engineering and medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh. A large number of students from across the Andhra Pradesh state appear for EAMCET every year and the competition is quite tough.

EAMCET 2010 application form and availability-

The EAMCET 2010 application form can be bought for Rs. 250 from e-seva centers located in the state of Andhra Pradesh and select branches of Andhra Bank outlets. To download the EAMCET 2010 application form or filling the form online, students can log on to www.apeamcet.org. The payment in the case of EAMCET 2010 online application can be done by providing a DD number of a DD amounting to Rs. 250.

EAMCET 2010 engineering entrance exam - eligibility criteria

  1. Students applying for EAMCET 2010 should be citizens of India or Persons of Indian Origin.
  2. Only residents of the State of Andhra Pradesh are allowed to take EAMCET 2010.
  3. EAMCET candidates are required to pass their class XII with physics, chemistry and maths from the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other recognized board.
  4. In case the previous criteria is not met, alternately, candidates should have passed the Diploma in Engineering exam conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or any other recognized examination by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh.
  5. The candidate should be a minimum of 17 years of age, though no specific upper limit has been stated by the authorities.

The EAMCET previous papers' pattern-

To get an idea of the EAMCET 2010 paper pattern candidates should solve as many as EAMCET model papers and EAMCET previous years papers.

With a thorough study of EAMCET previous papers we find that the EAMCET engineering exam lays maximum stress on the mathematics section. The EAMCET 2010 paper is expected to be of 160 marks distributed between physics, chemistry and maths as follows -

Mathematics - 80 marks
Physics - 40 marks
Chemistry - 40 marks

The total number of questions asked in EAMCET 2010 is expected to be 80 of which 70 are usually solvable by average students and a mere 10 are too difficult to solve.

The most important EAMCET 2010 mathematics section can further be divided as follows -

  • Questions asked from Algebra - 20
  • Questions asked from Trigonometry - 15
  • Questions asked from Vectors algebra - 5
  • Questions asked from Probability - 5
  • Questions asked from Calculus - 20
  • Questions asked from Coordinate geometry - 15

To be able to secure a good rank in the EAMCET 2010 students must practice well on the EAMCET sample papers and aim to crack as many questions in the Mathematics section as possible.

Some useful information

Students will be allowed 45 minutes prior to the examination

  • Hall tickets to have phone numbers of exam centres for easy location
  • Hall tickets to be available from April 30
  • Eamcet ranks to be announced on June 20
  • Exam being held on Sunday (May 30) on the directive of SHRC.

    my daughter got 74 marks in eamcet 2012 and 22.5% in ipe and our reservation is BC-E and can she get a MBBS seat either in private A college or government college can u reply me as early as possible pls
